The actual answer is "If I ask your brother 'should I turn right', would he be correct". The answer from that means that you turn left (alternatively, if you ask "left" instead of "right" then you go the opposite way).

I haven't looked this up by the way, it's quite a simple premise.

If you ask the liar, his answer will be the opposite to the correct one. ie, if you ask if you should turn left, then you turn right.
If you ask the person telling the truth, he knows that his brother is a liar, so the answer will be the opposite to the one you need. ie, if you ask if you should turn right, you turn left.
