Like I said the setup for the Vette is good. Don't like how non ABS cars do work in AC as the window between braking properly and locking up is like 1mm big and there is literally no feeling when the grip does drop off... But that's an AC thing, nothing to do with this league
That was an interesting race, but also sometimes very quiet, only some Protos passing by from time to time.
By the way, this was my first real online race and my intention was to finish the race without an accident - done
But i also had some problems...at the last rounds I noticed that I run out of fuel (the times shown in the pit were wrong and i allready fueled +10%), so I slowed a down and let some cars pass. And anyhow i get it to 90min with the last 0,1 Liter, at the end i saw "Leader has to drive 2 Rounds" ? ...the End
Another problem was the teamspeak sound, it was just to quiet, I turned the Master and the Motorsound down as much as possible but still had trouble to hear everyone, the motorsound was still louder - cant even hear my own voice.
Realy annoying was the pitstop in VR, because I put "center view" on a pov button, should be possible in combination with pitstop.."should"
What it does, was to turn my view 30° to the left when pressing the button...
Has anyone saved the results?
I have the same problem with teamspeak, i can’t hear a thing haha. I hear it a little bit when im standing stationary in the pits but when i am driving i almost hear nothing.
New starting procedure worked a treat
I do have a big concern over the Prototype cars overtaking.
4 times a Prototype car IMHO "yeeted" it up my inside under braking when they were too far back on the straight to attempt a safe pass.
I took damage the first time (less than 10 minutes in to the race), the other 3 if I had stuck to my racing line (as per instructions) they would have resulted in a crash. On those 3 my only option was to take to the off-road. Please remember I had already begun braking and turning in to the corner, no part of their car was along side when I started turning.
(Please no names, investigations or pointing figures as that is not the point of my concern)
Silverstone and Spa are big, wide tracks. I am concerned when we fly out to America it could end up being carnage especially with the added element of Points on the line and more cars on track.
Last thing I want is to raise 3 stewards enquiries each race or have mine or any Prototypes race ruined due to a not safe pass.
This is a tricky one and there is no one right answer (I bet we all have a very strong opinion - I am just raising a concern and possibly seek some balance and thoughts from the community) - I have interpreted the "Safe Pass by a Prototype" and "GT3 stick to the racing line" as - it is the responsibility of the Prototype to overtake safely and the GT3 is under no obligation to yield, providing the GT3 sticks to the racing line. (please note I said Obligation, We all need to be sensible about when we lift off and should favour that but this would be a choice). Due to no Obligation for the GT3 any attempt for the Prototype to overtake causing the GT3 to take evasive action could result in a potential penalty for the Prototype driver.
I have had 7 incidents like this in two races and all under braking in to corners. 99.9% of the overtakes are very sensible and conservative and worked very well.
This is my first season of Multi-class and I am happy to have my opinion re-calibrated by the community or league owners/stewards but would love some thoughts now we have had two races and before the season starts.
I can not wait for the season, it is going to be awesome
