Anyone any ideas for this? Struggling to get below 2.18 in the wet just now..
Reckon a clean lap would likely be 2.16

Just did a dozen laps with my Monza setup plus a bit of aero, full fuel was mid 2:16s once I’d built up what little heat I could into the tyres.
Massive puddles everywhere though, should be fun.

Learning this track from scratch... in ideal conditions. Once I got the track in my memory I'll start practice in wet conditions.
I understand that the setup needs some adjustments for wet conditions:
- higher ride height
- more downforce
- more traction control
- higher abs
- soften dampers compression and rebound
- soften anti-roll bar
- brake bias more to the back
- wet tyres of course :D

Anything else I should take in mind for wet conditions setup? Suggestions more than welcome.

You should mind that GTE cars don't have ABS. Therefore you'll be on your own under braking. For this I will probably need to reduce the brake force setting.

Ok..good to know. But abs shows up in the setup menu, right?

tired already of testing this...
tested with AI 60min race and some extra practice....track starts to get faster on the 2nd half, my setup works allright for rain, but my car starts goin all over the place once the track starts to dry up.

i just hate silverstone, and i hate rain. not very confident for this race.

I think everyone is feeling the same....it probably balances out. I'm planning a 5 pitstop strategy though, and getting my will in order before going on track...

I love Silverstone, raced there loads of times IRL in the wet on a motorbike so the rain in a pretend car should be a doddle..

(but i'll probably still be last)

Got a baseline setup for qualifying which is good, still needs a bit of work but can get temperature in the tyres, the car doesn't swap ends every 2nd corner & I'm 2 min 2 secs (.003)
Reckon the anomalies are breaking the 2 minute barrier for qualifying. Wet running is still a good 20s slower. Need to work on that from the qualy setup.

Good info, so if an alien does 1.58s 2.12 my goal is 1 sec worse. I'm doing 2 sec worse at the moment, altough i haven't tested a lot in dry only did 2 or 3 laps so i think i can improve it easily.. About the wet i'm not very concerned as long as the car is on track pointed the right direction :D.

My only concern at the moment is with the track drying up, my car gets a bit crazy on the back. I need to figure out what is happening.

2:18.3 in the rain with race fuel here, but not consistent as the track evolves so quick in the rain.

I haven't even found time to do any practice yet...
I guess my goal from last race still stays. (Do NOT kill anybody)

I think this will be getting to the end rather than actually racing

Hope you have your connection sorted. Meeting you stationary mid-track, disappearing and re-appearing in front of me, was effing scary.

Yeah... No, that's just happens sometimes, and I can do nothing about it until I move out from this place.
Believe me, I've tried many-many things.

Also, it destroyed my entire race, because my car was so damaged, I barely could get back to the pits, after a crash with someone who couldn't even see me. I don't care if you got scared.

Are you connected via Wifi or RJ45 cable? If Wifi, you can do something: you can connect yourself via cable instead that should give you a bit more stable network.
