I know that Asus is building a superultrawide aswell, but I'm limited by money or I have to sell a kidney which I would love to keep. I'm not a graphics-nerd as I'm ok running slightly lower graphics so I would just go for the best buy. Already saving 40 quid building my own 80/20 monitor mount compared to purchasing one from Simlab. Got to thank @ramiboo for the basics of 80/20 ;)

I don't think you can mount them to an office chair though ;)

I got my parts today
  • Simetik K2 (stock, will add stuff to it later)
  • Sparco Sprint L (in blue, what else)
~ 650€ incl. delivery, without VAT

Nice - do you (or anyone) know if the Simetik K2 is sturdy enough to deal with a direct drive wheel? I know gamer muscle uses a DD and this, but he never really gave feedback after the first impressions. I'm planning my upgrade path, and it's rig frame first, DD wheel at a later time probably. Wondering if this fits the bill as its much better pricing than a P1

I don't know about the Simetik rig but you also don't need the P1, that is total overkill. Have a look at the one I have GT1 evo. It's rock solid and together with the Sabelt bucket seat it's only 590€.

That says it all 10:04 (I DID ATTEMPT THIS AT HOME BTW, same result):

I think a DD should be fine, except you crank up the force to maximum :) But I can't say for sure.

looks so good... Surprised to see a standard office chair there. As much as I want to upgrade wheel/pedals I think my biggest improvement would be fixed mounting for chair/pedals/wheel. Bathurst was an exercise in core strength when pushing the brake so hard my office chair lifts off the ground...

My chair can't move because it has no more rolls :)

yes...but does it not still lift slightly when you hit the brake hard. I have my patented rig (see way back in this thread) to still rolling, but I can't stop the chair just lifting because it is not nailed down (yet :) )
