Hi gazthme and welcome to RSR :)

First things first, get yourself along to an Induction Night and we'll get you going from there :) . If you can, try and get into TeamSpeak about 15 minutes before the evening is due to get going, just to say hi to the people that are around and also solve any setup problems you might have.

Hopefully see you in an induction session soon :)

Oh, one thing to add, which isn't in the Induction Night first post is that the induction team will run their cars with the plain white livery on the evening. This is to help you identify them more quickly :).

Greetings

Jared, 19 from the middle of the United States.

Was introduced to here through Kaleeb42 and fab.ICEMAN, mainly. I've been playing sims since I was about five with Gran Turismo 4, been smitten with racing games ever since (to the point of destroying the brakes at the local Go-Karting complex). Been getting more and more interested in getting into actual endurance lobbies and races with people that, *cough*, know what they're doing.

Since I have university studies and teaching assistant positions, I will only be able to do anything during the weekends and the occasional Mondays. However, since I am on spring break, I should be able to make it to the Induction Night tomorrow.

Happy racing :)

Hello gentlemen (and ladies if any are around)

I’m Christian, aka Doc3d, a 46yo Norwegian. I work as a service-tech at a IT company here in Oslo. I live with my girlfriend and a 2 year old son.

I’ve been racing for quite a while, getting serious with grand Turismo (that’s the original GT 1, yes, I’m that old!) I stayed with GT2-3-4 and got forza1-2-3-4-5-7 when that came out, thinking the modifications to be brilliant and the racing more fun than serious. EA’s F1 99-02(?) get me obsessed with lap times and the GTR mod was great. Then came simbins GTR1+2 and I’ve pretty much gotten most sims after that. Currently I have Assetto Corsa, pCars2, dirt4+rally, F1’17, wrc7 and r3 on my system

I usually race solo, except for iRacing, which I got into when it was first introduced. I passed on my subscription last November because I rarely used it any more and felt I couldn’t justify the cost anymore.
The last few years has been mostly about pCars 1+2, both in which I was a backer, so I’ve been playing that for quite a while (last count I had 1075 hours in pCars 2 and 1399h in pcars1) I figured it was time to do some online and wanted to get with a group that seemed friendly and without the dreaded wreck-bug. (This is where you come in). I think I read about rsr on the pCars forums if I remember correctly.

I’m not sure when I can do my induction race, as I have my setup in the same room as my 2yo sleeps, so TS could possibly be a challenge. We are about to move tho, giving me my office back so that would help. I’ll figure a way around it somehow in the meantime.

Hi and welcome, I am sure one of the other moderator like people (@Jonno @Darksi @FlyingKman @Battenberg) can confirm this, but during the induction session it is more important for you to listen than to actually speak, so being "without a mic" although it will cut you off from speaking won't cut you off from attending induction nights :)

Further to what @Ashnoom has said, Induction sessions take place every Tuesday night 19:30UTC and last for around 2 hours, they involve a run through of our rules as well as multiple races where we can assess the applicants. These races are more focused on safety rather than outright speed, we want you to races us and get stuck in. During induction we do not look at speed. For our races it is essential that you join us on team speak, we give our driver briefings before the event takes places and our drivers may communicate during the race for example when a driver is entering/leaving the pit lane. For induction we require you to be on team speak where you will be given the server password(s). Having a mic is not a requirement but is highly recommended.

feel free to check out our driving standards before you attend induction

Look forward to seeing you on track soon :)

What about me? :( :D

Hi all i'm Jenzo from London UK. Am a keen racer normally catch me on PC2 but i started when was lot younger with the PlayStation 2 & Gran Turismo, then moved on to PC gaming with need for speed which the real part of racing was NFS Shift 1 & 2. After that been playing likes of PC1, Race Rooms Experience, Dirt3, World Rally 6/7, Assetto Coursa.

Have watched Yorkie065 on YT & watched him on MotorsTV with Iracing sim racing doing the touring cars then F1 chatting about the drivers. I like to race others that are in to race not just ram others if you start to lose. My mate told me about joining TGC & a try out driving on a Saturday night. So hopefully see you tomorrow on the track :)

Hi Jenzo, Welcome to RevolutionSimRacing(RSR).

We at RSR are very proud of our Driving Standards and for new members wanting to take part in our events we require them to attend 1-2 induction sessions before being promoted and being able to race. The induction sessions take place every Tuesday night 19:30UTC and last roughly 2hours. These induction sessions are not looking for raw speed but are designed to test a driver in various cars to see if they can cope with close, clean racing.

RSR was born from the ashes of TGC. There is an event you can join, hosted by 1 of our applicants who's looking to improve and gain experience, feel free to join our Newbie Night event

Before joining our Team speak, could you please link your Teamspeak to our forum, this will allow you to automatically gain permissions allowing you to move around. Teamspeak link

Thanks, look forward to seeing you on track :)

Hi Dale, Welcome to RevolutionSimRacing(RSR).

The passwords for the servers are not readily available on the forum. We will normally give out the passwords for the servers during our driver briefings.

I'm Buzz Lightyear. I come in peace. I'm actually stationed at the Gamma Quadrant, Sector Four, as an elite Universe Protection Unit. I protect the Galaxy from the Evil Emperor Zurg, sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance!

But i'm taking a short break from all that and hope to make it to the induction night next week so I can take part in my race To xfinity and beyond.....

Hey everyone.

My name is Josh, 17 years of age from Newcastle in the North of England. I heard of RSR through Fab.Iceman, who I used to race with on GTA through a crew named Nonchalant Dominance.

I've always like racing games ever since from a young age but, never taken any to the next level. I have only started racing in Pcars2 recently so I'm still learning new things every day.

I hope to join the induction night races on Tuesday nights, cya all on track!
