Ive been competing for a while with a bunch of guys from Pistonheads in a weekly time trial, and a championship over 6 weeks. One fella called Mark has created a piece of software that runs on the PC and collects the UDP feed from Project Cars 2. The information is then uploaded to a results website. It has league tables and every bit of useful telemetry you can think of and you can use it to compare with other drivers to see where you are losing time.

I’ve had a blast, and it’s a good bunch. Check it out here...

But @Cluck would just win every round... :p

The TT is default setup (on trust only as no way to check in UDP) so yeah probably although sometimes you can drop lucky and just click with a car. Saying that, I "borrowed" puffpirat's setup in the Cayman GT4 @ Knockhill and I'm within 0.5s of Puff & Cluck after just a few laps, I reckon with a bit more practice I can get really close...maybe I'm not so slow after all.

In most events I just rock up without any practice on default set.

The problem is most of the time Cluck uses a default setup anyway. :p

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it and a big supporter of members having ideas of their own for things like this. I'm just having a joke about Cluck's stupid TT pace. I look forward to see where this goes. :)

For the admins, I'm sure he could do something similar for RSR to collect Time Trial info for drivers to help you organise splits for races, it could all be done automatically without resorting to spreadsheets. You could set up "Events" on the website here, and by using his clever little bit of software it will do all the hard work for you...

Yes that Chicken is a RoadRunner in disguise...beep beep!

I can't take any credit for Mark's hard work, we were running a time trial and manually posting times with screenshots and it was all a bit amateur hour. The clever little listener software is phenomenal as it takes away all the user admin.
It used to have a tourettes mode so it would swear at you occasionally as it has voice to tell you the delta to whichever time you decide to compare to. He's taken that off in case any youngsters decide to sign up...personally I will miss being called a "cockwomble" or "fast bastard"...

Another good feature is it just needs to run on a PC on your network, also picks up UDP from XB1 and PS4 so it's cross platform...there are some really quick PS4 guys on there.

Been looking for something like this, signed up, not really a fan of the FWD though!

I hope something like the unofficial better time trial ranking website is done for Pcars2. It was really good to be able to compare friends times/find the time trials with the most people and see your overall position for each car/track combo.

I believe there is already one for PCARS 2 by the same people. I’m sure I’ve seen someone link it by I can never find it when I try.

There used to be an unofficial one for Pcars1, I think it used the same data source but did a lot more with it, you could search by user and see how you compare on all the time trials you'd both done and could also see a list of all your time trials and where you rank in them. Made it much easier to identify the a challenging time trial to have a go at.

Unfortunately they blocked the data stream to the unofficial website so it stopped working.
